I found her in a night I could not sleep
beating the streets
hoping to calm my restless state.
She was standing on the wall
of an old builing
two streets away from my home.
She was smoking
as the cigar was the last she has.
I was intrigued cause she didn’t look cheap,
but the late hour of the night
made somehow to feel prejudice about her.
I was walking by,
but after I made few steps
she says
have no place to sleep tonight.
I stood there for a moment
wondering in what damn thing I might get in
and turn around, ask her
if she wants to go to my place.
The slowly movement of her body
made me the one who need help.
Change place with her.
While waiting for any response,
she steped aside from the wall
and she says:ok.
In a strange way I felt release.
We ‘re heading in silence to my home,
have no clue what I might do and say.
Ask her why she was there,
and she said : it’s none of your business.
I could replay that since she comes to my place
I think it is.
But prefer to shut up.
She is pretty beautiful as I come to see
being in the light.
Her clothes are clean.
And have no make-up on her face.
Unlock the door and come inside,
she look over very easy and detached.
She says: I will not sleep with you.
If you think I’ll do it,
I can go in this second.
I say this was not even in my mind.
I felt she relaxed in a way, but remain in her world.
Cause it is pretty late
I suggest to go to bed,
give her my room
and go to sleep on the couch.
She shut the door.
I stand there lying to listen the sounds of her presence,
but all is quiet.
Conclusive night for myself,
as I never did such a gesture before.
I am intrigued how will things turn in the morning,
as I have no clue what i supposed to do with her.
But slept like a baby.
She prepares breakfast
and ask me if she can come this night, too.
Ok, but where will be all the day?
I’m not telling you,
just come tonight.
After 10 o’clock she appears.
We lasted like this for one month.
Started to care about her and I am on the point
of telling her if she does not confess
she can’t come anymore.
It is the most incredible story I could have lived.
And this night when she was inside
I told her.
She turns around, says she will not be here anymore.
I feel angry.
But during the night she came to me naked
says she want to make love to me.
I feel trapped and touched.
And I was walking the line we both designed.
Good Lord,
her lips is smoother than a rosebud,
make me feel like I am the only man on earth.
Early in the morning
she is taking me on a trip on the orphanage
to meet her son,
who is three years old.
I felt love, what can I say?
My heart is melting before I could have done anything.
And after she tells me that she works by day.
But for nothing in the world wanted
to share how ended like this.
So, this is imposible story
Of a man who has met his destiny
and how he found love, passion, trust
in a night when
he could not sleep.
My advice is not to try it,
cause you might end robbed or worse, with cut throat
but if you have the nerve to do it,
good luck.
