Army of ten wooden soldiers

A eight years old boy,
who’s name is Nicholas
decollated as an airplane from his bed
in the Christmas morning,
right to the candle, bell, angel tree,
still dressed in his blue pyjamas with teddy bears
of course, to look for the only, unique,
most wanted and waited gift
for entire year:
an army of ten wooden soldiers.
Mother barely put him to sleep last night,
cause green, adorable eyes
were hanged on the bedroom window
to catch the Santa Claus delivery.
He did not poză to shake hand with him,
but ask with brave voice
did you get my soldiers?
Finally, he was convinced that Santa
won’t come
if children want to make acquintance,
he is quiet and very intimate with his job.
So, here he is,
grabbing all the present with eager hands
until the mistery has landed
with a polished box,
whithin in all splendour lying ten wooden statues
of the most courageous soldiers:
army of Nicholas.
You will be the blessed witness of
great adventures that take place
in the Black Swamps land.
Could not be put on eating breakfast,
just drink a warm cup of milk with honey.
But accepted to change his clothes
with more appropriate ones
according to the new status,
absolute commander with no fear in heart,
and ready to fight the enemy.
One soldier receive first mission
to go as a shadow in spying the others camp.
Return in glory,
but with the uniform in pieces
cause the family dog found him on the hallway,
hiding under a coffee table,
and chewed it as a toy.
Fortunately ability of speaking was not affected,
was capable to tell about the întocmai location
and other useful details.
Commander decided he will not be part
of the future attack,
even soldier said he can fight like a lion.
It was send in the hospital, alias box
for recovery.
So, nine man go to war in their new uniforms.
Two of them was nearly swallowed in a swamp
they found in a way and thought it was small,
cause in the bucket,
mother of Nicholas put too much water.
But using ropes
they were saved by mates.
A bound has started to grown between them
after this incident.
They move forward, in unity,
step by step,
on the carpet of living room,
until dark put them to rest.
They camped in a safe spot, not to be seen by anyone,
under a pot that Nicholas asked from his mother.
During the night,
enemy approched, they also had spys,
shown in the shape of present dog,
and they were wounded
and spread all over the place.
One has broken leg and need caring,
and next day when Nicholas was awake
to lead his little army to victory
was not upset,
but propose to take commanding and strategy lessons
for such defeat
will never happen.
When laughters couldn’t be hidden anymore,
he said with pride,
standing in respectful posture,
the soldiers fought with incredible bravery,
taking situation in consideration.
And from now on,
they never lose any battle.
